Donald Trump’s First Tweet As The New President (Video)

It didn’t take long for Donald Trump to address his massive Twitter base after his stunning victory over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Such a beautiful and important evening!” the president-elect tweeted early Wednesday. “The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before.”

Trump, an avid user of Twitter, often used the social media platform to attack his political opponents and harshest critics. Early exit polls from Election Day indicate that Trump successfully tapped in on disgruntled Americans who were dissatisfied with the political status quo in Washington.

As of early Wednesday, Trump’s Twitter account also looked a bit different —His profile now identifies him as “president-elect of the United States.”
