Harin attempts bold statement on cold news

Uva Chief Minister Harin Fernando makes a statement that he will resign from politics if President Maithri joins former President Mahinda Rajapakse. A bit of a stale statement considering the fact the President has confirmed publicly that he will not, leaving the Chief Minister in a position where he is evidently just seeking a bit of the spotlight.

The Chief Minister further elaborated that he has firm belief that president Maithri will not stoop to second class politics, but as we saw clearly in the Presidential election dealing underhand blows is nothing new to him.

“MR simply wants to re-enter the political arena to take revenge on his opponents and not with the idea to develop the Country.”

Taking another blow Chief Minister Harin Fernando stated that it is shameless that MR visits temples to carry forth his political agenda and that the chorus of “sadhu sadhu” has been replaced with “Jayawewa jayawewa”.

He made this statement at a meeting in Badulla.

Harin Fernando explained to the gathered of his work within his District. He stated that he has done 700million rupees worth of work in the Uva province allocating 1million rupees to each Grama sewa wasam during the 100 day program. According to Harin Fernando the 100 day program was not meant to provide employment.
