Gota’s Involvement With Northern Group Need to be Probed- Fonseka

After the war  was  over, Gota was the  one  who supplied weapons to the groups operating in the North and East.

It was during in the last regime Army was politicized. Therefore involvement of  Gota group  in AAVA group  cannot be completely ruled out.  Good Governance Government is leading the  country in the right direction. But  a few disgruntled Opposition MPs  accused the Government  of punishing  the war heroes . It is  a fact  that water cannon was used to disperse  demonstrators, who became violent.  But  no one  was  attacked by the police. The entire country  knows that certain

unscrupulous elements   of the  Joint Opposition were  behind the  violence  created during demonstration.

 I am also a  disable soldier.  But no one came forward  then to raise their voice on behalf of me, when  I was forcibly dragged and jailed.  I have wounds in my body.  Where  were all these people then  who shout today? Sarath Fonseka revealed this during the meeting held day before yesterday.
