India Train Patna-Indore Express Derailment: Cost At Least 63 Lives

Fourteen coaches of Patna Indore express derailed near Pukhrayan in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to the latest reports, at least 63 people have lost their lives after the train accident. The train is reported to have derailed around 5 in the morning. Medical teams have been rushed to the site of the accident to attend to the injured.
The officials are expecting the death toll to rise as the rescue operations are on the way.  “14 coaches of Indore-Patna exp derailed near Kanpur. We are yet to confirm the total number of casualties. Rescue operations are underway,” Anil Saxena, Indian Railways spokesperson said.
