Due to a fuel problem four thermal power plants have been reported as being dysfunctional, the Electrical Engineers Union chairman, Athula Wanniarachchi said.
As a result of this, thermal power generation capacity of the national grid would be minus 400 megawatts of electricity.
As a result the national electricity grid loses a capacity of 300 megawatts, which caused a sudden power failure that occurred on 12th of last month at the Norochcholai power plant, where the high power electric cable system became inoperative, and its first generator has not yet been repaired.
