Basil Rajapaksa Try to Flee SL to USA Abandoning Sri Lanka Podujana Party?

Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa has  figured   at the  inauguration  of the new party Sri Lanka Podujana Party  and obtained  member ship . He  filed a motion  at the High Court requesting  permission to leave for the USA  for the period  10^th December 2016  to  2^nd  March 2 017 t0  obtain  medical treatment.

 In his motion   he stated that he has been receiving treatment for diabetes but has not been there in USA   for medical tests for  two years.  There is a court case pending at the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court in respect of  a disputable land and building.

The AG filed objections and the High Court fixed the case for November 25 to hear AG’s objections.
