Wijeyadasa on Special Court for Cases of Fraud and Corruption?

Public as well as a few Ministers worried about the delay in prosecuting people involved in large scale fraud and corruption of the previous Government.  In the wake of a request by them, to establish special Courts to hear cases on corruption and fraud, President Maithreepala and PM Ranil Wickramasinghe are expected to consult the Attorney General on such a possibility and convey the outcome to the Cabinet.

Justice Ministry Official said, that there some practical difficulties in establishing and maintaining such Special Courts.
