Cheating Case Against Shashi Weerawansa For Trial on 8th February 2017

Sashi Weerawansa is alleged to have obtained diplomatic and general passports by submitting birth certificate with forged names and dates of birth, cheating the controller of Immigration and Emigration.

She had applied for a diplomatic passport in 2010 by submitting false personal information,  which was different to what appears in her previous normal passport that expired on May 24, 2009. This case was filed by the CID.

The Colombo Chief Magistrate fixed the trial of this cheating case against Wimal Weerawansa’s wife Shashi Weerawansa to  8^th February  2017 .
