No New Buddhist Temples in the North, East – NPC
At the 66th session of the Northern Provincial Council yesterday, a proposal to object construction of new Buddhist temples in the North East was presented by the Chairman C.V.K. Sivagnanam himself. This proposal was adopted unanimously .
A proposal to protest the action of the Chief incumbent of the Mangalarama temple in Batticaloa was also adopted. NPC decided to forward adopted proposals to the President , Prime Minister and the IGP.
