Minister Nimal Spells Out Upgrading of SLTB

Minister Nimal Siripala Silva while participating in  budget debate  yesterday ,   announced  that  measures have been taken to upgrade  the bus and railway transport system in the country.

He added that 273 SLTB buses have been renovated. The minister also said that 1000 more buses will be bought. 3800 ticketing machines have also been purchased. The SLTB will be network using the cutting edge technology. The provident fund of the SLTB employees will be paid without delay. The minister highlighted that the shortage of human resource at the railway service caused certain issues .
