Interim Report on Deaths Of Four Heart Patients Today

Four heart  patients died on 28^th November  2016  due to allergy to chemicals injected to them. All of them died on the same day . This has created problem and the Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratna appointed a  committee to look into the sudden deaths of four heart patients at the cardiology unit of the Colombo National Hospital.

The dye used for surgery is being analyzed.  Member of the committee deputy director general of medical services Dr. Lakshmi Somathunga told an  electronic media  organization  that it would be send to a foreign laboratory for further investigations.

 The interim report  of the committee will be  handed  over  to the Minister today.
