Three ASPs, four SSPs transferred

 

The Police Department this morning announced that four Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs) and three Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASPs) including one from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the other from the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) were transferred with immediate effect.

It said the transfers were based on service requirements.

Inspector General of Police (IGP’s) Command Information Division Director, SSP J.I.D.A. Gunathilake was transferred to the Mount Lavinia Division; SSP R.M. Harishchandra Bandara from the Kuliyapitiya Division to the Police Field Force Headquarters; SSP M.H.K.D. Mahagedara from the Ampara Division as Director of the Police Academy in Kundasale and SSP D.R.L. Ranaweera from the Ampara Division to the Mount Lavinia Division.

Meanwhile, ASP G.D.A.N. Gunaratna has been appointed as acting Director of the IGP’s Command Information Division; ASP S.M. Keerthipala was transferred from the Crime Investigation Department to the Chilaw Division and ASP A.R.P.J. Alwis from the Terrorist Investigation Division to the Tangalle Division.
