FR Petitions by Ekneligoda Disappearance Suspects Withdrawns

Prageeth Ekneligoda’s disappearance suspects Bala Subramanium, Tharanga Prasanna Gamage, Kanishka Gunarthna and Sammindra Gunarathna ,  who were  in remand  had filed FR petitions requesting the  Supreme  Court to release them from custody.

When the matter was taken by a Bench comprising Chief Justice K. Sripavan and Justice Prasanna Jayawardana, Counsel for petitioners, President’s Counsel Manohara de Silva, informed the Court that his clients had been allowed bail by High Court of Avissawella and therefore, they wish to withdraw their FR petitions.
