Rs.25,000 fine & 3 Months Jail term for a Drunken 3 Wheel Driver

A three-wheeler driver from the Aruppala area was arrested by the police  near the Wewelpitiya grounds in Kandy .  At the time of his arrest he was   driving three wheeler  without a valid licence and under the influence of liquor.  The arrest was made under the directions of Kandy OIC (Traffic) W.S. Uvindasiri by the Deputy Police Inspector K.R.Gomez, Police Sergents M.R. Weerasinghe and Ajith.

 Police filed the case in the Kandy Magistrate Court . The Kandy Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala  has fined Rs.25,000 and sentenced to three months jail yesterday.
