WHY Waseem Thajudeen’s phone records could not be retrieved?

The Dialog Mobile Phone Company today informed the Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris that it was unable to provide the details of the telephone calls taken by former Havelock’s rugby captain and Sri Lanka rugby player Wasim Thajudeen (WASSA) who died in a car accident in 2012.

In an affidavit filed in Court, the company stated it stores it phone call details for only three months at a time before they are deleted. Further magisterial inquiries were postponed for September 10.
