Disaster scare in Bambalapitiya

Reports by residents of the Bambalapitiya area regarding a strange vibration yesterday evening have led the Disaster Management Center (DMC) to conduct a thorough investigation in to the matter.

The DMC has handed the matter over to the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) stated DMC Deputy Director Pradeep Kodippilli. He further stated that evidences so far points to the vibration being a result of construction work all other possibilities are being considered.

No damages were reported.
