The combined Postal Trade Unions’ Front Front’s co-convener Chinthaka Bandaara said, that the discussion held with subject Minister M. H. Abdul Haleem the day-before-yesterday was not successful. As no solution was found for their demands including the removal of irregularities existing in promotion and recruitment procedure, they were compelled to strike from midnight today for 48 hours.
