Rishad to Introduce Sugar Cane Cultivation in Mullaitivu

Minister of Industry and Commerce , Rishad Bathiudeen said,  that  investors  have expressed  their willingness  to cultivate sugar cane in  5,000 hectares  of land in  Mullaitivu. Minister said priority  will be   given to the domestic investors.  A  fixed  price will be ensured  to purchase the harvest .

Further he said,  that  his Ministry has  taken steps to inaugurate four factories  . In addition  preliminary   steps have already been taken  to recommence  operation at  Elephant Pass Saltern , Paranthan Chemical factory and KKS cement factory.
