Government Charges For Sand Increased by 100%

Geological Survey and Mines Bureau has announced  that   currently  government charges of Rs 160  is levied  for  a cube of  sand . One cube of sand is sold at Rs 4,000 in  some areas  and in  few other areas it is being  sold at  Rs 18,000 in  the open market.  Government levy  of  Rs 160 was  fixed in the year 2007.

Considering  the above facts,  it was decided to increase the  price of sand  from Rs 4,000  to Rs 8,000   per cube  and increase the Government levy  from Rs 160 to Rs 320 as from 1^st January 2017.
