Bus Fines for Ticketless Travellers Increase to Rs.1000?

Currently Rs.250 plus double the bus fare is being charged for ticketless travelling in busses. Despite bus fares had been revised on several occasions in the past 10 years, fine has not been revised. Ticketless travellers in buses are in increasing trend. Hence, in order to stop or reduce ticketless travellers in busses, it was proposed to increase the fine from Rs.250 to Rs. 1000.
