Expressions Made by Politicians on Raviraj Murder Case Verdict

The Colombo High Court on Saturday 24th gave its’ verdict on Raviraj murder case. Based on unanimous decision arrived at by exclusively Sinhala speaking Jurors, Colombo High Court Judge discharged all suspects from all charges and released them. This verdict has created doubts in the minds of Tamil politicians and Tamils as a whole.
Minister Rajitha said, that Raviraj was murdered and justice should be meted out. As exclusively Sinhala Jurors were appointed, Tamils doubt on this verdict, he said.
TNA member of Parliament cum Layer S.Sumanthiran  appeared on behalf of Raviraj family said, that this verdict clearly indicates that Tamils cannot get justice from Srilankan Judiciary and the need for foreign judges in war crimes inquiry.
Another MP Mano Ganeshan said, that this verdict disappointed him. He raised the questions whether Raviraj had shot his security man and shot himself? Further he said, that this will be reflected in Geneva?
Another TNA MP Mavai Senathirajah said, that we are not satisfied with the verdict given in the Raviraj under case.
In the meantime, Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe requested, that not to use Raviraj Murder case verdict to insist foreign judges for war crimes in courts to be established in Srilanka.
