Central Provincial Council Too Defeated Development ( Special Provision) Bill

Already  Uva,  Northern, Sabragamuva  and  Southern  Provincial Councils  have defeated the  development ( Special Provision) bill  . Today  in the  Central  Provincial Council  this bill was defeated .  While 34  Provincial Council  members voted  against it , four members abstained  from voting.  UNP members  reported to have  walked out  during voting.

Out of  nine  Provincial councils Development ( Special Provision) Bill had been  defeated  despite  Prime Minister met  some of the Chief Ministers and under took  to amend  the act.
