Topple The Government in 2017 is Our Aim- Mahinda
Mahinda met foreign journalists based in Srilanka yesterday(29). In this meeting he said, that their aim is to topple the Government in the year 2017. Although the Government has 2/3 majority in parliament , this will change in time to come. UNP and SLFP clash within the Government is an open secret now . Hence, things are made easy to topple the Government.

Views expressed by Mahinda to questions raised by journalists are :-
Q:- According to the Srilankan Constitution no one can contest for the post of President 3rd time. Do you intent to become the President?
A:- I have no such intention . But I can govern the country without being the leader of the state.
Q:- If offered PM post can you work with the President?
A:- If Ranil can work with Maithri, why can’t I work with a person known to me as from the year 1970. If that happen, it will be according to my terms and conditions .
Q:_ If your faction contest Local Government Election separately , will it not divide the SLFP vote bank making advantages to UNP ?
A:- No it won’t affect . Even many UNP members, who are not stratified with their party will abstain from voting .
Q:- What is the outcome of your meeting with the PM and Leader of the Opposition regarding the new constitution to be introduced? Whether you will support this new constitution.
A:- In the meeting I had with PM and Opposition Leader, we discussed only the methodology to be followed in making new constitution. Government, President and PM’s views on new constitution were not disclosed. Only after it is disclosed, we will decide whether to support or reject it. However, I have my doubt about this new constitution.
Q:- Are you in agreement with the Government to release 15,000 acres of Hambantota land to Chinese?
A:- I have not agreed for the release of 15,000 acres of the land at Hambantota to China at all . I have already informed this to China. I have only agreed to release 750 acres of land for the Chinese Industrial City Project . When a Chinese submarine visited Colombo Port Indian High Commission sources made a big fuss , but now they behave like a rat . During my regime India protested on such events , but now they keep silence . Is it because they get the Trincomalle Port?
Q:- Former Indian Security advisor claimed that India helped Srilanka to win the war against LTTE. Is this Correct?
A:- Yes India helped us but they did not publicly stated due to Tamil Nadu problem.
Q:- If that so , why India changed its stunt later?
A:- May be due to misunderstanding and pressure exercised by America.
Q:- What do you think the reason for your defeat in 2015 Presidential Election?
A:- America , India , Western Countries , their intelligent services planned as from 2011 and worked on a project to defeat me. Hence, I could not manage to win the 2015 Presidential Election.
