Vasu on legal War Path Against H’tota Port Deal

The Government is to sign a 99 year lease agreement with a Chinese company to operate the Hambantota port in order to recover the huge losses suffered by the port.

Joint opposition parliamentarian Vasudeva Nanayakkara has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the sale of the Hambantota port.

He said that the opposition hopes the case will be heard soon and that during the case the opposition will be able to express its concerns on the deal.
