Agency Agreement With Lottery Agents Suspended.

According to the provision in  the agreement  between the  National Lotteries Board / Development Lotteries Board and  lottery agents ,  if they do not sell lottery tickets  for a period of  one month,  NLB / DLB  is    empowered  to suspend   the agreement.

National Lotteries Board and  Development Lotteries Board have identified the people , who were  behind the protest. DLB chairman/CEO Mr. Romesh Jayawardhana said, that  they contemplate taking legal action against the protestors  , who damaged  the property of the DLB.

The Chairpersons  of the two lotteries board have  categorically   said, that  lottery prices  would remain unchanged  and they would not bow done  to the agents  unreasonable demands.  Further they said, that they had appointed some new agents and some more would be appointed within this month.
