Muslim Leaders Decided to Invite President to Visit Wilpattu

Srilanka Muslim Media Forum led by N.M. Ameen  organized a media conference  to brief on  resettlement  problems faced by Muslim community.  Ministers  ,  Rishad Bathiudeen, A.H. M. Fauzi, Deputy Minister Ameer Ali  , State Minister M.L.A.M. Hizbullah,  Parliamentarians,   Majibur Rahuman, M.H. Navey, Provincial Council Members A.R. Arshad , Januffar, and  Azad Sally  and other  leaders  including those  who represents   social and religious bodies  participated in this press conference today(5).
Obstacles placed by Communalist  of South   in resettling Muslims in the North was condemned  by Muslim leaders at this forum.
 Generally all speakers spoke about the difficulties faced by  Muslim refugees of the North  and pointed out the consequences  of  extending the perimeter of Wilpattu  affecting   resettled Muslims adjoining Wilpattu National  Park .
 Towards the end of the press briefing   Attorney at law Mr. Shaheed  of  Muslim League  said, that  there is no point  in holding press conferences in this connection.  Press conferences  won’t  find a solution  for this resettlement problem.  He proposed  the only alternative is to invite the President Maithripala Sirisena   ,  those  organizations  accusing destruction and invasion  of  Wilpattu forest and environmentalist  to  this particular  Wilpattu  resettlement area  for on the spot study .  Muslim MPs  and leaders should  be present there and explain the real situation to the President . This proposal was accepted unanimously and they propose to take follow up action.
