Srilanka Will be Another Singapore Soon

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  cum  President Telegu  Desha Party,  Chandrababu Naidu   is on an official visit to Srilanka . He participated in a special  event organized  at the BMICH  to celebrate  Maithripala Sirisena’s 2 year  completion of office  as  President of Srilanaka.  Speaking at this meeting Naidu said,  growth of  information technology is very important for a country to  develop. In Andhrapradesh  priority was given to for information technology  and modern technological developments . We are invited Billgate to come and  commence  business in Andhrapradesh. Along with the development  we should give  attention to ‘’ green development’’ ,  protection of environment. We have implemented this in Andhrapradesh. In Andhrapradesh in important places CCTV cameras  were fixed, which helps  us   to detect anti social elements , culprits  and criminals who violates  the law of the land . I wish  this should be done in Srilanka too . Like  development of IT,  there   should  be development  made in maintaining law and order .  We have made lot of employment opportunities   in  Andhrapradesh. First time,  we  have  obtained 35,000 acres of land  from  India and  implemented  development projects  on it.   When the people are happy, then only the Government can be happy and satisfied .  To  bring  black money out   India has  successfully   introduced  the monetization  of Rs 500 and Rs 1000  Indian notes .
I am happy to note that the Srilankan President  steps in to  the third year  with a massive  development programme . Srilanka  has improved  vastly  during last 2 years. Malaria has been completely eradicated. Poverty was brought down to (7%)  seven percent . Country’s  revenue  is  being increasing on a planned  economy .  Srilanka Government formed with two major political parties  is a unique development in the south Asia.  In view of the above facts,   I am confident  Srilanka  will became another  business hub  like Singapore very soon.
I have  seen President Maithripala Sirisena   is living in a modest house instead of a luxury house . He is leading a simple life.  I addressed  Maithri’s wife as ‘’ First Lady ‘’ . Immediately  she responded  telling me  not to call  her as first lady,   but invited me to  call her as Mrs . Srisena. I was surprised  to witness the simple life  led by a head of state and his wife . Srilanka and India are  close neighbours divided by borders,   but  thinking and cultural pursuits are same.   In March both countries have  planned  to sign a trade agreement .  With that  agreement  relationship between two countries will be strengthened  further.
