Colombo Royal College Grade 1 Admissions Halted Temporarily

The Ministry of Education has  received  several complaints  regarding admission of grade one students into popular schools in Colombo and a few other areas. On instruction given by Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, a  special investigation is being carried out now.

Teams have been deployed to schools island wide, to investigate the manner in which students receive admission to grade one.

The Ministry noted that accordingly, Royal College’s grade one admissions have been temporarily halted.
