Twenty-Three Independent groups deposit bonds for the General Election

 

Receiving nominations for the general election 2015 began today morning.

District Assistant Election Commission office said that no recognized political party has given nominations so far but several independent groups have deposited bonds this morning.

Three such independent groups of Digamadulla district, two independent groups from Moneragala district and one independent group each from Anuradhapura and Matara districts have deposited bonds this morning.

Accordingly, 23 independent groups have deposited bonds so far.

Nominations could be handed over till noon on July 13th.
