A statutory body dealing with transport had presented a new year gift with a difference to the top at the Ministry. The gift was a large stock of footware. This state run body had been in the thick of flood relief activity in the past and this stock of foot ware accounts for a collection received as donnations from the public, which the white collar big wig had failed to distribute among the flood victims.  They had later deccided to present the entire stock lying idle to the second in command in transport.
