President’s Remark Sees Politicos Vanish

To mark President second anniversary in office and also the birth anniversary of the SLFP founder leader, a Sanghika Dana was offered to more than 2,000 Bhikkhus at the President house recently. President himself served food to the Bhikkhus seated in a long line. To take a pause he suddenly looked back to find a number of politicos following him obviously in bid to get into the eyes of the video cameras instead of concentrating on serving alms to the Bhikkhus. A visibly disturbed President aimed a few verbal barbs at the politicos seeking the publicity and neglecting their immediate duty, which saw most of them disappear fast from the scene.
