Daring Robbery Prevented by Police Shooting & Wounding the Burglar in Kaduwela

A suspect by accompany with  two others have broken into a telecommunication center in Weliwita area, Kaduwela and robbed gold jewelry, mobile phones and cash by threatening  the woman who owned it, police said.

Police who went to the scene said they had to open fire as the suspect had attempted to attack the police with a sharp weapon. 27 year old suspect who was injured during the shooting is treated at the Mulleriyawa hospital under police protection.
