Train Drivers Work to Rule Campaign Abandoned

Train drivers have started work to rule campaign at midnight on Monday (23) . This campaign  was launched based on a few issues with regard to the recruitment process.

The Secretary of the Locomotive Operating Engineer’s Association Indika Dodangoda stated that the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Nimal Siripala De Silva addressed the  issues raised by  the  association last night.

The minister had given assurance that a discussion will be held today.

The Secretary noted that as a result the work to rule trade union campaign was suspended.
