Bribe Attempt Ended in Arrest …

An individual  approached  a  Police Constable in Chilaw to obtain  assistance  from him  to help his and his brothers illegal sand mining racket and try to offer Rs 1,000 and a food parcel last night.

On information received by the Chilaw police headquarters Inspector regarding the bribe,  the suspect was arrested along with Two mobile phones, Rs 28 800 in cash and the suspect’s motorcycle.
