Sword Swinging Nallur Attackers Arrested
Some youths parading in motorbikes with swinging swords landed in a private store in Nallur and attacked people with swords left and right on 31st January 2017 . At the end of the carnage they said fire to the store.
Police said, that CCTV footage of the alleged suspects arriving at the store on motorbikes armed with weapons had been recorded. The footage showed the suspects attacking two individuals present at the store using swords, and then fleeing the scene.
Four suspects who had allegedly carried out an attack on two individuals and set fire to a store in Nallur, Jaffna last week have been arrested.
The police stated that according to evidence that had been collected from the scene, they were able to confirm the identity of the attackers. The suspects were apprehended during a raid carried out last evening (05), according to police. The suspects have been identified as residents of Jaffna, who are between the ages of 18 and 22. They will be produced before the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court today.
