President to Restructure Lake House

President Maithripala Sirisena has  appointed a four-member committee   to identify the weaknesses in administration and management of the institution and personnel, as well as to analyze its financial position in the Lake House  and report to him.
 The Chairman of the Committee is retired Supreme Court Judge Nimal Disanayake and the other members are Raja Premadasa, V.D. Dahanayake and Chandrasiri Seneviratne.
The Committee has been given three months to submit its findings, with directions to specifically consult the employees of the institution, as well as get public opinion in the process of harnessing data to compile the report. The objective in this exercise is to develop and strengthen the institution and to improve the quality of Lake House newspapers. “The overall plan is to strengthen the institution so that it can compete with privately owned newspapers,” the President Media Division revealed .
