Legal Action Against Media Ministry Secretary

The Secretary to  the Ministry  of Media,  Nimal Bopage  said recently,  that the director of information  has prepared a document  on Independent  Media Regulatory  Commission and signed it on behalf of  him. A Journalist has question on this issue yesterday from cabinet Co spokesman Minister Rajitha Senaratna .  In reply  Rajitha has rejected the accusation made by the Media Ministry Secretary and said, if he has  told  like that, legal action will be instituted against him.  In this instance  after obtaining Media Ministry Secretary’s  signature only  document was submitted.  He cannot say  that he did not know it. Further he said, even  if the Minister and the Secretary expressed different views  on a subject , the views of the Minister is upheld and  become valid.
