G.L Peiris Alleges Appointment of an Unqualified Judge to High Court

The President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Ramanathan Kannan as High Court Judge  recently.  In a press conference held at Battaramulla yesterday,  Prof. G. L. Peiris alleged that  the President  has appointed  an unqualified  Ramanathan Kannan as High Court Judge. President said, that he made this  appointment after  consulting  the Judicial Service  Commission , but  the Judicial Service  Commission has said,  it has nothing to do with the appointment  of Ramanathan Kannan. He is an unqualified person for the post of High Court  Judge. In all my political life, I have never seen or heard about Ramanathan Kannan said, G.L. Peiris . Does it mean just because Peiris doesn’t   know about Ramanathan Kannan,  he became unqualified, observers ask.
