Weather Forecast For 19th February 2017

Showery condition is expected to continue further and will prevail until tomorrow, particularly in the southern half of the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Eastern Southern, Central and Uva provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 02.00p.m.

Fairly heavy showers (75mm-100mm) are also likely at some places, especially in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva, Central and Western provinces and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
