United Peoples Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian, Wimal Weerawansa, arrested and remanded on charges of misusing state vehicles and aiding and abetting the same, He was produced before Colombo Fort Magistrates Court today and he has been further remanded till 6th March 2017.
He was charged with providing state vehicles to friends and family during his term as the former Minister of Construction and Housing during the previous tenure of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance led government, thereby incurring the government financial losses.
