Case Against Namal For Contempt of Bribery Commission to be Heard in SC Today

As  Hambantota District Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has ignored notice issued by the  Bribery Commission  to appear before it to record a statement , the Bribery Commission has  filed a case  in the Supreme Court against him for allegedly defaming the Commission .

During the previous court hearing, Attorneys representing MP Namal Rajapaksa informed the Supreme Court that their client is ready to provide his statement.

Followed by , the Supreme Court ordered the Parliamentarian to provide his statement before today. MP Rajapaksa was present at the Bribery Commission yesterday.

The case will be heard before the Supreme Court today.
