75,000 Fine for Possessing Unsuitable Medicine

Colombo Fort Judge cum District Judge has today imposed a fine of 75,000 rupees to a trader from Wattala for possessing 225g of tramadol drug medicine. The Judge while imposing the fine ordered that the trader should published an apology from the public in all three languages in newspapers.  Complaint was made by the National Drug Control Authority.
