Armed Gangs Threat to Jaffna Public Servants

Recently Assistant Lands Commissioner of Batticaloa was shot and injured  in connection with a land grab case. Followed by this, some public servants in Jaffna staged a demonstration opposite the Jaffna District Secretariat alleging that the presence of armed gangs is creating a fear psychosis making it difficult to carry out their duties. Immediate action should be taken to arrest the perpetrators of the crime committed on Assistant Lands Commissioner . Further , they demanded an assurance of safety from the government.
