A Pakistani National Arrested With Heroin

An 25-year-old Pakistani national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake with a haul of heroin worth over Rs 50 million.

Officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau had detained and searched the suspect based on a suspicion while they had discovered 5.5kg of heroin concealed in his luggage.

The heroin haul is estimated to be worth over Rs 5 million. Further investigation is underway.
