BC Filed Objections Against Wanniarachchi Case

A case was filed by the Bribery Commission against the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Chief Security Officer Major Neville Wanniarachchi for failing to declare his assets during the period from 2010-2014.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has filed objections in the case against Neville Wanniarachchi. The case was taken up for hearing before Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Aatigala this morning(7).
Major Neville Wanniarachchi’s attorney filed a written objection against the charges filed by the Bribery Commission. The Bribery Commission filed its objections in response to the defence.
The case is scheduled to be heard once again on the 25th  April 2017. Court ordered the defendants to table the written application at the next hearing.
