Temporarily Stop to Railway Station Masters Strike

The strike scheduled to be launched at midnight yesterday by railway station masters making several demands was  averted  by  holding a   discussion with the  Railway Station Master’s Association.

Followed by a  discussions Railway Station Masters Association had   with the Railways General Manager BAC Ariyaratne last evening, intended  strike  was  postponed to 10th of March 2017.

Chief Secretary of the Railway Station Masters Association Indika Ruwan Pathirana said, they were provided with  a satisfactory response by the General Manager. He said failure to address their demands will result in more protests.
