Pillaiyan’s Bail Application Rejected

Former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillaiyan was arrested in connection with the assassination of Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham, and remanded. His remand  was  extended on 33  occasions in the past.

 When he was  produced in the court today(8), his bail application was rejected by  the Colombo High Court Judge M.Y.M.Issadeen.

 This case was postponed to  4^th May  2017 and ordered to be in  remand  until then.
