The President of Srilanka Maithreepala Sirisena went to Jakarta, Indonesia to attend the 20th conference on Indian Ocean Rim Association Leaders’ Summit.
There he met several leaders of other friendly countries and discussed about bilateral relations. He met vice President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari and discussed recent killing of an Indian fisherman in the middle sea. At this discussion Srilankan President Maithreepala Sirisena has assured the Vice President of India that he would order for a complete inquiry into the matter and there won’t be any killing of Indian fishermen in the mid sea by the Srilanka.
