Issue of 12 Lakhs Water Bills Blocked
Meter readers of the Water Resources Board is on work to rule campaign as from 17th February 2017. They made ten demands to the Management. As no solution was found for their demands, they adopted work to rule campaign.
Water Resources Board Workers Union Leader, Senerath Arthajeeva said, that nearly 12 lakhs of February 2017 water bills remain undelivered to consumers. Further he said, that the management has cancelled leave of it’s employees and deployed new staff on contract basis to take meter reading. However, they have determined to continue the struggle until their demands are met.
