Deraniyagala Double Murder Suspect, a Teen Arrested

 On Tues day(7) an unidentified person  attacked 7 year old girl , her relation  aged 45 year old  and her mother in Deraniyagala . While  the girl and the relation  died,  seriously injured mother  was admitted to  the Colombo National hospital and undergoing treatment.

Followed by the  murder and mayhem five police teams had been deployed to  arrest the suspect. Police identified  the reason for the killing is due to  a personal dispute between the suspect and members of deceased’s family.

 The identified  19 year old  suspect   is a resident of Magala area in Deraniyagala.  He was evading arrest  and found refugee in  Sri Pada forest reserve. Police have raided the Sri Pada forest reserve earlier this morning and  arrested him.

The suspect will be produced before the Awissawella Magistrate’s Court today.
